Were the items she used brought from home? If it were all from the school, perhaps the school should have been smart enough and had enough common sense to not have "bomb" making materials lying around.

If she brought these items herself and without school permission, why not just give the girl in-school suspension or a week of home suspension? Some kind of actual corrective action would suffice. Felony charges are really overboard. No one was hurt & no damage was done. I don't want to hear about what-ifs because we can what-if all day, and again no one was hurt, and no damage done. I'm sure she's learned her lesson.

I haven't seen this film or heard of this director, but I was struck by the fact that you liked the way it looked -- it reminds me of Leni Riefenstahl and how it is possible that great artists can use thier art to promote abominable politics. Scary.
